What’s the first place that comes to mind when you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion?
Depends on the occasion but restaurant wise I would be looking at Cherry Creek Gill, Spice Room or Potager.
Tell us about a vacation you would love to take.
I love to scuba and don’t get to do it enough. I think going to Belize and diving the Great Blue Hole would be amazing!
Tell us about your favorite book/movie/show from the past year.
My favorite find this past year was Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary. I enjoyed the movie adaptation, but the book is where the story truly shines!
For seven years, Sky Roetzel sat on the other side of the desk. From there, his job is to translate complexity into something human, pairing analytical strategy with the emotional intelligence to make clients feel genuinely supported.
That blend of discipline and creativity traces back home. Sky’s father—a professional rock and ice climber, coach, and small-business owner—taught him to love the outdoors and to solve problems methodically under pressure. His mother, an artist, taught him to look outside the box and find beauty in the everyday. Resilience from one, creativity from the other. Family still anchors him today, including the sister and two nieces who gave him the title he’s proudest of: fun uncle.
A Colorado native, Sky grew up in Eldorado Canyon and the Vail Valley before making Denver his home base. Away from the office, he’s happiest outdoors or working with his hands—skiing, hiking, camping, and climbing both rock and ice, true to his roots. When he’s indoors, that same focus goes into tactile projects: turning wrenches on his car, building Lego sets, the occasional painting. He’s seen most of the state and still insists it never feels fully explored. Next on the list: a few more 14ers.
