Rocky Mountain Salsa: Great Even on Grilled Cheese
Our intern, Aaron, has sampled every salsa in the supermarket. With so much testing, only one has stolen his heart—and it happens to be local to Colorado.
Finally, A Salsa for Everything
Each month, EdgeRock employees highlight a new Colorado food or product to boast about. With this installment, we highlight a local salsa that builds a mountain of flavor in every jar.
There are so many foods that are perfect compliments to a fresh jar of salsa. Probably even more than you’ve ventured to think. We all know the classics: chips, eggs, quesadillas, fajitas, and tacos. But there are so many more possibilities when it comes to this oh so versatile dip. Rocky Mountain Salsa recommends thinking out of the ballpark and trying their salsa on things like mac & cheese, fresh fruit, casseroles, and salmon.
Salsa Aficionado Approved
Our newly hired intern, Aaron, identifies as a salsa guru, and will not stop raving about Rocky Mountain Salsa. He discovered the local brand while online shopping at school in Pullman, Washington and could not wait to return home for the summer to try this new promising recipe. After years of searching for and consuming salsas around the Colorado area, Aaron found a new brand that sat alone atop his favorite salsas list.
Rocky Mountain Salsas are made with fresh jalapeños, onions and cilantro with no added preservatives, sugar, or vinegar. It comes in two styles: their signature “Original” recipe with mild spice, or their “Closer to the Sun” recipe that will satisfy even the toughest of spicy food lovers. You can taste this family run business’ influence in every bite as business owners, Amy, Gregg, and Keegan Lasley have been producing their own salsa since 1991. They have continued to grow and are now producing over 12,000 gallons of salsa per year!
Where to Get Your Rocky Mountain Salsa Fix
You can taste their flavorful recipes for yourself at Whole Foods, Safeway’s, and Albertson’s and the Rocky Mountain region. You can also obtain it in local Northern Colorado Stores such as The Cupboard and Beavers Market.
