What qualities do you most admire in a great leader? How do you try to apply this approach at EdgeRock?
Coach John Wooden often said, “a leader’s most powerful ally is his or her own example.” His Pyramid of Success is a great framework for building any organization.
Where do you go to take a much-needed vacation?
Somewhere warm in the winter. My wife loves a beach and an all-inclusive resort in Mexico.
You’re on a desert island with a working turntable. What three records are you spinning for the next year before help arrives?
Garth Brooks’ “Greatest Hits,” WAR’s “Greatest Hits,” and Cody Johnson’s “Greatest Hits.” Have to make those records count.
Tyler brings both legal training and advisory experience to his role at EdgeRock, combining technical expertise with a deep commitment to helping families make confident financial decisions. His years practicing as an attorney sharpened his ability to think critically, navigate complex issues, and advocate for clients—skills he now applies directly to financial planning. As an advisor, he values the opportunity to build lasting relationships and help clients design strategies that reflect not just their goals, but also their values.
He approaches each day with gratitude for the people he works alongside and the trust clients place in him. Blending his legal background with his advisory experience, Tyler helps simplify complexity and create clarity for families as they plan their futures.
Family and faith play a central role in Tyler’s life. He and his wife, Lauren, share their home with Zeke, their energetic “wonder dog.” Raised by parents who modeled discipline and financial responsibility, Tyler carries forward the lessons they instilled—especially his father’s oft-repeated mantra: “Pay yourself first.” Those early values continue to shape the way he approaches both his own life and his work with clients.
Outside the office, Tyler can often be found in the outdoors—fishing, hunting, or spending time at the family cabin. For him, the best days are the ones without cell service, where time slows down and joy comes from being surrounded by family and nature.
