Tell us about a vacation you've always wanted to take.
I’ve been hooked on Italy since my study abroad days, but next time I’m hoping to see the Amalfi Coast from the deck of a sailboat. I can’t imagine anything better than catching a Mediterranean breeze and a tan while working my way through the local pasta and wine. One day!
Where do you see most financial plans fall short?
It’s easy to get distracted by market swings, but plans often fall short because they neglect to strategize the “controllables” that actually drive long-term success. Global markets and interest rates are out of our hands, but we have control over proactive tax planning, intentional estate design, and finding ways to save just a percent or two more—planning that’s resilient regardless of the economic climate.
Tell us about your favorite book/movie/show from the past year.
My favorite read of the last year is “Die with Zero” by Bill Perkins. It shifted my perspective about finance more than anything else I’ve read. We all know it’s important to save, but to what end? Perkins encourages spending on experiences and relationships rather than saving for a future that may not be enjoyed.
Jerad’s career began on the institutional side of investing, where he completed several internships focused on investment research and manager due diligence. While the work sharpened his analytical skills and taught him how portfolios are constructed at a high level, it also clarified something important: Jerad wanted to work directly with people. He was drawn to a role where his knowledge could make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families—not just behind the scenes.
After graduating, Jerad joined Charles Schwab, where he worked directly with clients as an advanced broker, educating them on their accounts and more complex investment strategies. That experience reinforced his desire to move beyond transactional relationships and toward a more holistic, long-term advisory model. It also helped him develop a skill he values deeply today: the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, relatable terms.
Jerad approaches his role with a strong sense of responsibility and empathy. He blends technical expertise with a client-first mindset, focusing on building trust and helping families make confident, informed decisions. Whether he’s designing portfolios or walking through major life transitions, his goal is always the same—to act in his clients’ best interests and manage their wealth with the same care he would expect for his own family.
Jerad came to Colorado after completing his master’s degree, knowing he wanted to build a life somewhere out West. Having spent much of college visiting the mountains, Colorado felt like a natural fit. He loves the accessibility Denver offers—the ability to leave the city behind and feel immersed in nature within a couple of hours. When he’s not working, you’ll often find him hiking, snowboarding, or planning his next trip to explore more of the San Juan Mountains.
