What’s the first place that comes to mind when you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion?
The Cherry Creek Grill. It’s where my wife and I have always go when we have time for a date night. Love their artichoke when it’s in season!
Tell us about a vacation you would love to take.
The Masters golf tournament in Augusta. I’ve been twice and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Maybe squeeze in a round while I’m there.
Where do you see most financial plans fall short?
It’s all in the fine print. The assumptions you use can have a huge impact. Many plans fail to project realistic investment returns, accurate inflation rates, and complete tax implications.
Kyle is an entrepreneur at heart—and that conviction is what led him to build EdgeRock as an independent RIA. With more than 30 years in the financial services industry, his career began at a Citigroup division, evolved through a national partnership coaching financial advisors, and ultimately culminated in the launch of EdgeRock in 2009. By operating free from broker-dealer constraints, the firm answers to one constituency only: its clients.
Today, EdgeRock is one of the fastest-growing RIAs in the country, fueled by a commitment to hiring, developing, and retaining exceptional talent. The firm serves as a long-term partner to high-net-worth families—before, during, and beyond retirement—as well as to small business owners navigating growth, succession, and major transitions. Kyle believes the firm’s size is its greatest advantage: agile enough to offer truly bespoke solutions, yet disciplined enough to deliver with consistency and care.
To ensure EdgeRock is built with durability and operational rigor, Kyle has spent the past nine years working closely with business strategist Keith Cunningham (inspiration for the best-seller Rich Dad Poor Dad), who serves as chair of the firm’s board. That partnership has sharpened Kyle’s approach to leadership, governance, and execution—helping him build a firm that is as sound operationally as it is client-focused.
Kyle approaches his role as CEO like a conductor. His responsibility is to align talent, direct resources, and ensure every part of the organization works in harmony on behalf of the client. EdgeRock isn’t designed to be the largest RIA in the country—it is designed to be among the finest. He brings a Ritz-Carlton–level service mindset to the firm, paired with the competitive drive he developed playing college football. Each day, the expectation is simple: out-execute yesterday. For Kyle, wealth management is not a transaction—it is stewardship.
Kyle’s leadership has been shaped by exceptional mentors. Early in his career, he was personally trained by David Polus, whose influence helped define Kyle’s approach to independent advice. But Kyle credits his father, a surgeon, as his greatest example—someone who demonstrated that success is hollow without humility, service, and respect for every individual.
A Colorado native, Kyle thrives on challenge. He played quarterback at William Jewell College and has completed multiple 29029 Everest endurance hikes, mountain marathons, and countless early-morning workouts—often squeezing in rounds of golf whenever possible. He also hosts the RockTalk podcast, where he shares perspectives on wealth, life, and legacy. Still, nothing tops evenings at home with his wife, Kelley, and their two daughters. Family is his true north and the foundation behind everything he builds.
Beyond the firm, Kyle and EdgeRock are deeply committed to giving back. The organization proudly supports causes aligned with its values, including Folds of Honor, Brent’s Place, The Jones Project, Walk MS, Junior Achievement, and Habitat for Humanity—reflecting a belief that success carries a responsibility to strengthen the communities it serves.
